Monona Grove Nursery School (MGNS) is, "a perfect place to learn and play." Since it's founding in 1958, MGNS has been in continuous operation providing young children a relaxed atmosphere where they can grow socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. The school is state licensed and accredited.
A Parent Cooperative Preschool
MGNS functions as a parent cooperative. An all volunteer parent board guides the decision making process. As a member of a parent co-op, each parent spends 2 or 3 days each semester helping in their child's classroom. That precious time in the classroom is such a positive experience for both parents and children, many parents request to spend additional time in the classroom!
Program Overview
Preschool (Ages 3-5)
At MGNS we offer 2, 3, and 5-day preschool programs for ages 3 - 5.
Lunch Bunch
Our Lunch Bunch program allows preschool children the opportunity to bring their lunch to school and have additional time for socialization while eating.
Toddler Time (Ages 0-3)
We offer Toddler Time as a way to gently introduce young children to the preschool environment, without having to separate from a parent/caregiver. Toddler Time also gives parents/caregivers an opportunity to meet and socialize with one another.
